Brooklyn Nets star guard James Harden has been dealing with a pesky right hand injury. The right hand strain, which has reportedly been bothering Harden for several days, kept him out of the team's last contest against the Golden State Warriors. With another game coming up against one of the NBA's best in the Phoenix Suns, Brooklyn received a promising James Harden injury update ahead of the Nets-Suns showdown, as reported by ESPN.

James Harden (right hand strain) went through all of the Brooklyn Nets' shootaround Tuesday and has been upgraded to probable for the game Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns.

“I think he's feeling less irritation,” Nets coach Steve Nash said after the shootaround. “So the inflammation's come down. Therefore, the irritation is much better, and he feels like he's functioning well, so we're very hopeful.”

This is a big James Harden injury update for the Nets. Harden was able to make it through the team's shootaround without setback and had his game status upgraded to probable, generally a good sign for a player's status on gameday.

Nets coach Steve Nash provided an update on Harden, saying that the star guard is “feeling less irritation” and is “functioning well.” It sounds like Harden will be out there for the Nets-Sus clash, though the team will likely wait until closer to tip-off to provide official word on his status.

James Harden, who is averaging 23 points, 10.1 assists, and 8.1 rebounds per game, will look to help the Nets end a four-game skid if he is ultimately out there against the Suns on Tuesday night.

Stay tuned.
