We have just gotten a very promising update on the condition of Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant after the 31-year-old tested positive for coronavirus. According to Nets team insider Ian Eagle, Durant has been as healthy as ever, and could even suit up for Brooklyn if the season restarted tomorrow.

“Durant and his people have downplayed it,” Eagle said, via Billy Reinhardt of SB Nation. “Obviously, Kevin right now, the focus, after his positive test for coronavirus, clearly it’s just all about health. But yeah, you allow your mind to wander a bit. Whether or not Durant, from those little video snippets that we’ve seen, he looks good. He looks like himself. He looks like a player that could step in and play today.”

That's as good of an update we can get with regards to the Nets forward's current condition, who appears to have already beaten the virus at this point. Then again, Eagle provided a bit of a caveat, saying that Durant's impending return is anything but certain.

“The question would be probably posed to him: what do you want to do,” Eagle added. “And I think (the Nets) would lean on him. Medically, my understanding is — from this point on — he can play. It’s now a question (of) is the team comfortable, is he comfortable?”

There have been whispers of the current season being canceled in light of the pandemic, and if this is the case, then barring any unforeseen setbacks, Durant should be good to go once the new season begins — whenever that will be.
