The Brooklyn Nets are not wasting time in the offseason. Instead of staying at home and watch as the playoffs unfold, they are working out as a team in Los Angeles.

As posted by Nets forward DeMarre Carroll, the team is working out in LA:

The Nets finished 13th place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 28-54. They're one of those teams in the NBA who are young but don't show much promise. They are loaded with good players, but they lack that one superstar caliber player who can take them to the next level.

Several NBA veteran coaches shared their thoughts on the Nets' situation, per Net Income of Nets Daily. For Mike Fratello, a former NBA head coach and winner of 666 games:

“The toughest thing, I think, in a situation like the Nets are in, is to stay the course and not deviate. Philadelphia was getting killed for a while there. Everybody was making fun of the Process. The Process looks pretty good right now, doesn’t it? You just had to wait through it.”

For his part, Butch Beard — Brooklyn's coach in the 90s, the Nets just need to continue building their team and stay out of the limelight. He also commented on the team being in New York alongside the Knicks who have a relatively bigger fan base:

“The best thing the Nets can do is continue to stay out of the limelight, which goes against the grain of what they’ve always been trying to do because their main problem in their entire existence has been being second-class citizens in their own market. They’ve never had a real fan base. The one thing you can’t say or write anymore is that the arena isn’t worth a damn — I love watching games at Barclays. Same thing with the franchise…

“So stay under the radar, let all the pressure be on the Knicks, and build your team.”
