The Brooklyn Nets have been on the hunt for the perfect trade package for Kevin Durant. Ever since the star requested a trade out of the team, teams have put together their best offers for the former MVP winner. However, the front office has been extremely picky in choosing their trade partner. They aren't keen on settling for  pennies on the dollar for their star.

One of the strongest packages out there for Kevin Durant is from a familiar face: the Golden State Warriors. The reigning champs, in theory, could offer a combination of Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and salary filler for the Nets star. That's quite the alluring package, no? Well, according to Zach Lowe, Brooklyn isn't impressed by this deal. (via The Lowe Post)

“That's where you would negotiate. You would end up keeping a Kuminga or a Moody. The issues are Wiggins and Simmons. You run into the designated rookie fiasco. The intel I have is that the Nets are not super high on Wiggins or Poole as sort of centerpiece players.”

The Nets are definitely doing the right thing by not rushing a trade and waiting for the best offer available. What's interesting, though, is the fact that they don't think Wiggins or Poole are players worth building around. It looks like they are looking to grab more established talent to lead the new era of their team.

It seems that this Kevin Durant trade saga will continue all the way to the start of the season. Will the Nets find the perfect trade by then? We'll see how this situation plays out in the future.
