Brooklyn Nets small forward Caris LeVert was recently a guest on the R2C2 podcast with CC Sabathia and Ryan Ruocco, and he was asked to talk about superstar point guard Kyrie Irving.

After what happened with the Boston Celtics in 2018-19, there's a narrative around the NBA that Irving is a toxic and bad teammate.

However, LeVert says he doesn't feel that at all with Irving. In fact, the Nets youngster told Sabathia and Ruocco that Irving is one of the best teammates he's ever had.

The Nets are expected to be title contenders in 2020-21 with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the way on offense. Brooklyn just hired Hall of Famer Steve Nash as its new head coach, so there is a lot of excitement going around the organization right now.

Caris LeVert is expected to be the Nets' third option on offense next season behind Durant and Irving, respectively. While there have been rumors that Brooklyn could possibly trade LeVert for a third superstar this offseason, there aren't any stars who are really on the trade block.

Irving appeared in 20 games in his first season with the Nets. He was unable to play in the 2020 postseason due to shoulder surgery. The six-time All-Star averaged 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists in the games he played in and shot 47.8 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from beyond the arc and 92.2 percent from the free-throw line.

LeVert, meanwhile, put up 18.7 points, 4.2 boards and 4.4 dimes for the Nets in 2019-20. He's only going to get better learning from Durant, Irving and Nash.
