Brooklyn Nets swingman Caris LeVert has been forced to watch his team from afar after sustaining a dislocated foot that will keep him away from the court for some time, yet he's been proud to see how his team has handled things since his injury took him out of the lineup.

The Nets, though shaken at first due to the freak nature of LeVert's injury, have managed to keep composed and trot out good efforts, despite his absence.

“Resiliency,” LeVert said of Brooklyn’s play without him, according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic. “They’ve been playing really well. Even the games we’ve lost, I feel like we played really well up until about five minutes left in the fourth quarter. But I think we didn’t necessarily fix those problems because we still kind of had some last night (against Philadelphia), but I feel like we’re getting better in those situations as a young team who doesn’t really have a lot of experience in those situations. Every game means a lot for us. I think we’re growing definitely and look forward to watching it some more.”

The Nets are only 2.5 games out of the final playoff spot in the East, and LeVert has sensed his teammates can get there before he makes his impending return.

“Absolutely,” LeVert said. “We’re thinking getting better every single day, whether that be playoffs or not. We’re trying to maximize the potential that we have with our group and get better every day as a young team.”

LeVert has no clear timetable for his return, but he is expected to be able to rejoin his teammates before the end of the 2018-19 season, hoping to play a part in the Nets' playoff push.
