The NBA offseason is nearly four months away, yet here we are in late February dissecting Instagram posts of players and speculating about what it might mean for their future. Today's subjects are Brooklyn Nets All-Star guard D'Angelo Russell and Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker.

For those crying tampering, it's worth noting that Devin Booker signed a rather hefty check worth $158 million back in July that will keep him in Phoenix for another five years.

It's unlikely that D'Angelo Russell was recruiting Booker to join him nearly half a decade away from free agency, although that would add another layer to the notorious world of NBA subterfuge.

Since boats and sunshine are involved, it's worth mentioning that Booker's current home seems infinitely more applicable to sunny disposition than Russell's. It's worth considering that the Suns have won an NBA-low 12 games, while Brooklyn currently sits in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings entering play Tuesday.

Both men were members of the 2015 NBA Draft class, with Russell chosen second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers and Booker going 13th to the Suns. Fast-forward to 2019 and Russell is on his second franchise, having been reborn as the basketball savior of Brooklyn. Meanwhile, Booker went from averaging 10 points per game during his one collegiate season at Kentucky to averaging 20.7 points per game through his first four NBA seasons.

Russell, 23, and Booker, 22, have both developed into two of the league's premier scoring weapons, which is likely where the focus will continue to lie as opposed to their social media feeds.
