High-flyer DeAndre Jordan says he's “super excited” about playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

Jordan signed a four-year, $40 million contract with the Nets. He's joining his two good friends in Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in Brooklyn.

DeAndre Jordan split time last season with the Dallas Mavericks and New York Knicks. The All-Star center averaged 11.0 points, 13.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks while shooting 64.1 percent from the field and a career-high 70.5 percent from the free-throw line.

It's unclear if Jordan is going to start for the Nets or back up Jarrett Allen. Either way, Brooklyn made a great move by signing Jordan, who has career averages of 9.6 points and 10.9 rebounds. The 30-year-old will be a good rim protector for Brooklyn and get easy baskets at the hoop all season long playing alongside Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie — two guys who are elite at getting into the lane and collapsing defenses.

The Nets will be title contenders in 2020-21 when Durant comes back from his Achilles injury. KD is expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season. However, Brooklyn can still be a top-four team in the East without Durant. Along with landing Irving, KD and Jordan, the Nets also signed veteran small forwards Wilson Chandler and Garrett Temple in free agency.

Brooklyn's core of Irving, Dinwiddie, Allen, Caris LeVert, Joe Harris and Jordan should be able to do damage together in 2019-20.
