The Brooklyn Nets have big plans for the offseason. Forward DeMarre Carroll is among those anxiously awaiting to see if those plans materialize.

It is no secret that the Nets plan to go big-game hunting in free agency. According to Micheal Scotto of The Athletic, Carroll believes Brooklyn is deserving of two superstars:

I think the city deserves it. The city deserves a superstar. Not only one, probably two superstars. I’m a guy who’s always been a realist and I understand the business of basketball and the NBA and the political side and all that. I think the city deserves it. They waited a long time for this, and they’re finally hoping they can get some superstars in here to kind of make the Brooklyn Nets take that next step.

Carroll's comments seem to indicate that he has no hard feelings about his uncertain future in Brooklyn. He knows that the Nets have an opportunity to potentially shift the NBA landscape in their favor and have enough resources to bring in two superstars on a max deal. They are hoping that other players feel the same way he does.

It is no secret that Brooklyn is eyeing Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving. The Nets have not been shy about expressing their interest in Irving; they feel he gives them the best shot of bringing in another big name as well. Of course, this slot has been mostly tied to Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant. There has certainly been plenty of speculation about their desire to pair up. The Nets are hoping to make it come to fruition this offseason.
