The Brooklyn Nets had their way against a shorthanded Boston Celtics side in Game 5 on Tuesday, as the Nets cruised to a 123-109 victory to close out the controversial series. Brooklyn big man Nicolas Claxton had an opportunity to put an exclamation mark on the contest late in the fourth quarter, but unfortunately for him, things did not end as expected.

Here is Claxton's entry for the playoffs edition of Shaqtin' a Fool:

The game was already beyond doubt at that point, and the Nets were well on their way to securing the W. Boston was clearly already deflated and their defense on this particular play served as a testament to this fact. Check out Tristan Thompson slowly walking towards Claxton on the play.

Regardless of Boston's lack of an effort to stop the play, however, Claxton still sensationally botched his dunk attempt. It seemed like he lost the handle at the last second as he pulled back the rock for a more emphatic finish. What could have been a tremendous play ended in disaster for the Nets center.

It clearly doesn't matter though, as the Nets have now disposed of their first-round opponents without breaking too much of a sweat. They've now booked their spot in the second round against the Milwaukee Bucks in what should be a more formidable matchup.
