Brooklyn Nets general manager Sean Marks has “no idea” when superstar small forward Kevin Durant will play again.

Durant is recovering from an Achilles tear, and Marks says the Nets will not rush KD back under any circumstances.

“I have no idea,” Mark told Evan Roberts and Joe Benigno on WFAN, via Nets Daily. “We’re certainly not going to rush him back. There’s going to be absolutely none of that. We have far too much invested in him, and we owe it to Kevin to get him back to 100 percent.”

Kevin Durant is widely expected to miss the entire 2019-20 season. It would be a shock to many if the two-time Finals MVP plays at all next season. The Nets signed KD to a four-year, $164.26 million contract as part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Golden State Warriors.

Along with Durant, the Nets also signed point guard Kyrie Irving, center DeAndre Jordan and small forwards Garrett Temple and Wilson Chandler in free agency. Brooklyn won't be title contenders until Durant plays, but they figure to be a top-four team in the Eastern Conference in 2019-20.

Once Durant plays in 2020, the Nets are going to be a powerhouse in the East. Sean Marks and his staff are smart people. There's no way they're going to play Durant in 2019-20 considering an Achilles injury is the toughest injury to come back from.
