Kevin Durant has not yet played a game for the Brooklyn Nets as he recovers from a torn Achilles, but that doesn't mean he isn't immersing himself in New York City.

When asked about how Durant was adjusting to life in the Big Apple, his manager Rich Kleiman said that the superstar forward is really enjoying his time in his new surroundings:

“He loves it. I've seen it more recently now, maybe because his rehab is picking up. But he loves it,” Kleiman told Ian Begley of SNY. “He looks like he's fitting right in. Kevin wants to be able to do what he wants and move how he wants, and in New York City, people don't care what you're doing. Everybody moves at their own speed and I think he's fitting right in.”

Kleiman added that Durant would be comfortable no matter where he was, but that he really wants to make history with the Nets:

“(Durant) works so hard that you can put him on the moon and he's going rehab and work to this degree,” said Kleiman. “So I think, for him, it doesn't matter what city he's in, he's going to lock in. But who wouldn't love living in New York? I think he's excited to really put Brooklyn on the map and really make that franchise something special.”

Durant spent the first nine years of his career in Seattle and Oklahoma City, which is certainly a far cry from what the New York market is like. The 31-year-old got a taste of what a high-pressure environment was like during his three seasons with the Golden State Warriors, but that was more about having to win in the playoffs than handle a gigantic media industry.

New York is a different animal from pretty much everywhere, so it's good to see Kevin Durant is apparently adapting just fine.
