While veteran shooting guard Jamal Crawford expects Brooklyn Nets superstars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving to have some growing pains, he believes the Nets are in good hands moving forward.

Crawford, one of the best scorers in NBA history, thinks Durant and Irving can do anything they put their minds to with the Nets once chemistry is established between the two champions:

“They’ll have moments where they have to figure it out and work their way through it,” Jamal Crawford said about Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving on the Nets, via Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson of Heavy.

“Those moments may come more in the closer games because they’re both used to having the ball, and making plays, and making decisions and certain ways they may go about things in the closer games. So maybe more presence there, but I’m sure it will happen during the course of the season, but knowing both of them, and being tight with both of them, I think their friendship will supersede everything.

“I have no doubt that they will get through whatever it is that they have to go through.”

Irving and Durant are essentially best friends off the court. Nets center DeAndre Jordan is the third All-Star on the team. Kyrie, KD and DJ all signed four-year deals with Brooklyn.

Irving was only able to play in 20 games this season because of a shoulder injury which he ended up getting surgery on. Uncle Drew averaged 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists in his first season back home with the Nets.

Durant, meanwhile, is a two-time Finals MVP who is going to make Brooklyn title contenders next season. KD has career averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists.
