After forming their superstar team last year and still coming up short, the goals are clear for the Brooklyn Nets this year and it's to get to the mountain top and win a title.

On Monday, James Harden was asked about his own contract situation with the Nets, including a possible contract extension which most view as a foregone conclusion.

Harden has come close in the past to winning a championship as he got to the NBA Finals with the Oklahoma City Thunder and came close with the Houston Rockets as well.

The super team on the Nets features Harden along with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. KD and Kyrie both have the taste of what it's like to win a title while Harden is still looking for his first.

It's admirable to see Harden shake off the questions about his contract noting that for him it's not about the money. While he's certain to earn a huge payday from the Nets once an extension is ironed out, it's clearly not his focus at this time.

The Nets will have a lot of pressure on their shoulders to get to the NBA Finals this year after falling short in the playoffs to the Milwaukee Bucks last year. Injuries certainly played a factor in the postseason as both Harden and Irving missed time but, injuries or not this year the expectations will remain title or bust.

Harden is locked in and ready to roll and the Nets will remain a title favorite to start the season.
