Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden is already one of the best NBA players of all time, but on Sunday, he added another record to his résumé by matching Larry Bird's triple-double record.

Harden had a revival of sorts after a rough start to the 2021-22 season, banking 18 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Nets to a 117-91 win over the Detroit Pistons. It was his 59th career triple-double, putting him on a tie with the Boston Celtics legend for the seventh spot on the list.

James Harden has always been known for his offense, highlighted by his craftiness and ability to score in a multitude of ways. However, the other aspects of his game continue to grow as well, and his passing and rebounding skills certainly got a massive boost playing for a Nets team with plenty of talents.

The Beard is no longer a one-man show like he was in Houston, and so it's not surprising to see him continue to pile up triple-doubles.

After matching Larry Bird, though, Harden has a ton of work to do if he is to surpass the Celtics icon and the other players on the list. Everyone knows that Russell Westbrook (185) and Oscar Robertson (181) are the triple-double kings, with Magic Johnson, Jason Kidd, LeBron James and Wilt Chamberlain trailing them.

Beyond the record, however, Nets fans are undoubtedly happy they are getting the old Harden back slowly but surely.
