Though James Harden didn't suit up on Wednesday against the New Orleans Pelicans, he was still present on the Brooklyn Nets bench, constantly talking with his teammates.

Via Twitter, Harden revealed the gist of what he was telling his teammates.

Harden is aware that the Nets are the highly-favored team to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals or even win it all. However, he knows there are no guarantees in the NBA. And so he's constantly reminding his teammates that proper execution is the only way to success.

The Nets have one of the most interesting narratives by far. Everyone tagged them as surefire contenders at the beginning of the season as it marked the return of a healthy Kevin Durant.

Things suddenly picked up when the Nets were able to acquire Harden via trade, followed by Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge. They did give up a bunch of their young guns most notably Jarret Allen. But all in all, the Nets have a formidable cast surrounding their superstar core.

Harden knows about the superteams that have fallen before. The 2003-04 Los Angeles Lakers comprised of Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, Gary Payton, and Karl Malone were expected to dominate everyone. While they did make it to the NBA Finals, they fell miserably to the underdog Detroit Pistons.

So Nets fans should be more than pleased to see Harden always reminding his teammates to keep their guards up. He's hungry for that title. And he'll do anything in his power to finally get one.
