James Harden is a good basketball player.

Even without fellow superstar teammates Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving due to injuries, Harden led the Brooklyn Nets to a hard-earned 128-124 road win over the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.

Harden finished with spectacular numbers of team-high 38 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists. He took charge in the second half, reminding everyone that he is, after all, a former NBA MVP.

The Beard's stellar performance inspired a reaction from ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins, who had nice things to say this time around.

Harden, facing a tough matchup in the backcourt against former teammate Chris Paul and Devin Booker, looked effortless battling the hard-fighting Suns. The 31-year-old playmaker picked his spots and hit timely baskets, none bigger than his clutch three-pointer with only 31.4 ticks left in the final period to give the Nets a 126-124 lead. He iced the win with two free throws in their ensuing possession.

With the win, the Nets have now strung up four consecutive wins and improved to 18-12.

Harden's has been on fire as of late, even logging a huge triple-double outing against the Sacramento Kings on Monday. It seems he has finally found his comfort zone with the Nets, especially after Irving recently handed him the point guard duties.

The fit of James Harden, an eight-time All-Star and a three-time scoring champion, with the Nets was initially questioned by observers and fans. With his high usage rate, it was interesting how he would be able to share touches with Durant and Irving. But judging by their recent games, it's quite clear there's no problem at all.
