Brooklyn Nets center Jarrett Allen has been mentioned as a player who could possibly get traded to the Houston Rockets for 2018 MVP James Harden, who has reportedly told Houston he wants to get traded to Brooklyn so he can play with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

Allen, speaking from the Meals and Math Thanksgiving event on Monday, talked about his future with the Nets amid the Harden trade rumors, via Brian Lewis of the New York Post.

If the Nets trade for James Harden, they would probably be parting ways with Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Taurean Prince and multiple draft picks. Harden has led the NBA in scoring the last three seasons and would likely make the Nets the betting favorite to win the title in 2020-21.

Allen appeared in 70 games for the Nets in 2019-20. He averaged 11.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists a night while shooting 64.9 percent from the field and 63.3 percent from the free-throw line. The 22-year-old has established himself as one of the best shot blockers in the NBA.

The entire NBA world is waiting to see what happens with Harden and Rockets All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook. Nets fans, although they love Allen, are hoping Harden winds up in Brooklyn next to Durant, Irving and head coach Steve Nash.
