As it stands today, Jacque Vaughn remains the interim head coach of the Brooklyn Nets. However, Joe Harris has no problem if he is given the full-time job moving forward.

In fact, he would love it.

According to the Nets swingman, Vaughn has done an excellent job during his time as both an assistant coach and interim head coach in Brooklyn.

“I trust in Sean [Marks], every decision that he’s ever made,” Harris exclusively told ClutchPoints about the possibility of Vaughn remaining the head coach in Brooklyn.

“J.V. has been awesome. He’s been with us the last four years since I’ve been here. He’s been an unbelievable assistant while he’s been here and he’s been a great head coach throughout this entire time even before the bubble. Everybody loves J.V. We love playing for him. We love competing for him. He is sort of the ideal leader through all of this. He’s a real calming presence, an unbelievable basketball mind. Guys just play hard for him and love playing for him.”

There have been a lot of names linked with the Nets and their head coaching vacancy, most recently was Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue. Former coach Jason Kidd has also been rumored as a potential candidate to take over after Kenny Atkinson was fired midway through the 2019-20 campaign — just before the NBA hiatus.

Despite the fact that the Nets have been decimated by injuries and other health concerns throughout the 2019-20 campaign, Vaughn has Brooklyn back in the postseason as the Eastern Conference's No. 7 seed. The 45-year-old coach has proven that he can lead the team and make them competitive even without the likes of Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, Spencer Dinwiddie and De'Andre Jordan.

With the Nets currently gearing up to take on the No. 2 seed and defending NBA champions Toronto Raptors, Jacque Vaughn, Joe Harris and company will certainly have their work cut out for them in the opening round of the postseason.
