The Brooklyn Nets are widely expected to re-sign sixth-year veteran shooting guard Joe Harris, per Marc Stein of the New York Times.

Harris, 29, is one of the strongest 3-point shooters in the NBA, and his pending free agency brought potential trouble to the Nets, who seek to fortify their star tandem of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in 2020-21 with solid role players like Harris.

Harris has spent the last four seasons with the Nets, and while details of a contract are unknown as of yet, the University of Virginia product plans to stick around in Brooklyn for more.

The Nets perimeter player led the league in accuracy from 3-point range back during the 2018-19 season at 47.4 percent on 5.1 attempts per game.

Last season, Harris averaged a career-best 14.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game in 69 regular-season appearances.

With the Nets rumored to be interested in adding a third star next to Durant and Irving, Harris' contributions to the team appear to be crucial, and any trade could see teammates like Caris LeVert and Spencer Dinwiddie on the move as opposed to the strong-shooting wing.
