On a Brooklyn Nets team that had promise at the start of the season but is now heading for a disappointing win-loss record, Joe Harris has actually been a bright spot.

Harris, who played on the 2015 Cleveland Cavaliers team that made the Finals, is averaging career highs in practically every category. He's averaging 10.1 points on 47.3 percent shooting while playing 25.4 minutes per game. From the 3-point line, Harris is shooting 40.3 percent while last pulling down 3.3 boards.

This offseason, Harris will be an unrestricted free agent. His contract for this season is $1.5 million, so a team willing to give him a slight bump in salary can still get a serviceable player on quite a cheap deal.

Has Harris thought about what he will do when it comes to free agency this summer? The answer is yes, and it appears he's keeping his options open.

Those options include potentially returning to the Nets, per David Yapkowitz of Basketball Insiders.

While there’s still a bit more of the regular season left, and free agency still several months away, it’s something Harris has already thought about. If all goes well, Brooklyn is a place he can see himself staying long-term.

“Yeah, it’s one of those things that I’ll worry about that sort of decision when the time comes. But I have really enjoyed my time in Brooklyn,” Harris told Basketball Insiders. “It’s a great organization with a lot of good people, and they try and do stuff the right way. I enjoy being a part of that and trying to kind of rebuild and set a good foundation for where the future of the Brooklyn Nets is.”

Harris is in his fourth year of his NBA career, and it's been his best. Teams looking for some young shooting on an affordable contract should take a hard look at him.
