Brooklyn Nets shooting guard Joe Harris has been invited to the 3-point contest, but he still hasn’t made up his mind whether he’s going to Chicago.

Harris, who is considered one of the best shooters in the NBA, won the contest last season.

Entering Saturday, Harris has appeared in 46 games for the Nets this season. He's averaging 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 45.9 percent from the field, 39.9 percent from beyond the arc and 73.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Harris is making $7.6 million this season after signing a two-year, $16 million deal with the Nets back in the summer of 2018.

If you can shoot the ball and play defense in today’s NBA, you are going to get paid. Harris is one of the top young shooters in the league and has gotten better on the defensive side of the ball.

As a result, the Nets might have to overpay to keep Harris in Brooklyn since the sharpshooter figures to be pursued by a bevy of teams on the open market.

A lot of players enjoy the off time they get during All-Star weekend to relax and spend time with their family. With that said, it's hard to blame Harris if he decides not to participate in the 3-point contest since the NBA season is so long.
