Is Kevin Durant of the Nets to blame for Kyrie Irving looking down on LeBron James of the Lakers in the clutch? That's what Kendrick Perkins thinks.

Going on ESPN's NBA Hoop Streams, Perkins called out Durant for allowing Irving to make a comment like he did on Durant's podcast.

“As much as I believe Kyrie sounds ridiculous, I blame a lot of this on Kevin Durant,” Perkins said. “This is his podcast and he knew that Kyrie said that. He shouldn't have allowed that type of content to come out at this moment. So, with that being said, I think KD wanted that to be aired out, he wanted to let Kyrie burn right now 'cause that's what he's doing, he's just burning up in flames, 'cause everyone is just tearing him up, and rightfully so 'cause he's just disrespecting LeBron James.”

Perkins would go on to say he feels the two of them were using the platform to hate on LeBron James since they are bitter that LeBron is in the Finals while they are not.

“As much as I blame Kyrie for that idiotic statement, I blame KD also for letting that content get out, especially during this time because it comes off as them being haters and them being bitter watching LeBron James on the verge of winning his fourth title, especially for the Lakers,” Perkins said.

Perkins is one who would know a thing or two about egos and being bitter. He played for the Celtics during the Big Three era with Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Rajon Rondo. After losing to LeBron James a couple of times in the playoffs, Pierce is still bitter about the losses and is hesitant to put him among the greatest of all time.
