Former NBA big man and current ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins has never shied away from ripping Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving.

Perkins was very critical of Irving last season after Uncle Drew's disappointing year with the Boston Celtics. Now on the Nets, Irving is putting up stellar numbers, but Brooklyn has gotten off to a 1-2 start.

On Tuesday, a report from ESPN came out stating some members of the Nets are concerned about Irving's mood swings. Perkins took that opportunity to once again share his thoughts on Irving:

“Why did you think Kyrie was going to change? Kyrie is who he is…and I don’t think he’ll ever grow up,” Perkins told Radio.com. “From what I heard, that’s why the Knicks didn’t even want to entertain [signing him]. They heard of his mood swings and that drags the character of the team down.

“It’s always drama with this kid [Irving]. All the time.”

The Nets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on opening night despite getting 50 points from Irving. They were able to defeat the New York Knicks, but then fell to the Memphis Grizzlies on a Jae Crowder game-winner.

Irving is averaging 37.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists through the Nets' first three games. The six-time All-Star is shooting 45.6 percent from the field, 41.2 percent from beyond the arc and 93.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nets host the winless Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
