Kevin Durant is a pretty serious guy. However, the Brooklyn Nets superstar could not help but smile when he was recently asked to comment about being included in the prestigious NBA Top 75 list.

KD was fielding an interview following the Nets' 104-90 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday when the topic of the Top 75 list was brought up. Durant had a big smile on his face as soon as the subject shifted, and he even had a 20-year-old confession to share:

“20 years ago I was watching the Top 50 and I wanted to be a part of it,” admitted the Nets All-Star. “I said that the other night. So to be part of the 75 is pretty special.”

The NBA released its list of Top 50 all-time greats exactly 25 years ago during the league's 50th anniversary. Durant was only eight years old at that time but already, he knew he wanted to be part of that list. Obviously, the Nets star had no chance of making the Top 50, but he definitely made amends by cracking the Top 75 list this year.

Durant showcased his unbridled talent yet again on Monday as he led the Nets to their second win of the season. KD finished with a game-high 25 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals in 35 minutes of action. Looks like Brooklyn will be fine even without Kyrie Irving.
