If Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has a magical lamp with a genie coming out, he would probably wish to make his feet one inch shorter. After all, that was the only difference between their playoffs exit and what could have been an East Finals appearance.

With six seconds left in the fourth quarter of Game 7 against the Bucks and the Nets trailing 109-107, Durant took matters into his own hands and asked for the ball for the final shot. Sure enough, KD didn't disappoint and made a turnaround fadeaway to tie things up.

Clearly, though, it could have been a 3-point shot that would have made it a 110-109 victory for the Nets. Unfortunately, as Durant said  it, his foot is too long.

“But my big ass foot stepped on the line,” Durant said in part, per Malika Andrews of ESPN. “I just saw how close I was to ending their season with that shot.”

Indeed, had Durant's feet been shorter (or his shoes shorter?), we would be talking how epic that game-winner was and how the Slim Reaper is actually the best player in the world today. However, a few inches denied us of that opportunity and many more chances to see the 32-year-old forward showcase his scoring pedigree.

Hopefully though, the failure will only motivate Durant to bounce back and put up another monster season in 2020-21.
