Part of Brooklyn Nets All-Star forward Kevin Durant's off-the-court workout regime includes zapping critics and “haters” online.

The former two-time Finals MVP is a social media addict like many of us — and he's not going to stop soon.

Via Dan Feldman in NBC Sports' Pro Basketball Talk:

I’m still going to do the burner thing. I’m still going to do that.

Certain people, I’m going to come back on my regular account. But if I’m just trying to do my thing, I want to dip in, you know what I mean? I got the burner.

I just slipped up that one time. You know why I slipped up.

Durant was caught using a “burner” account. That's slang for an anonymous social-media profile to conceal identity while freely sharing and commenting online. While the former NBA MVP understands it may not be the noblest of acts, he admitted he still uses an anonymous profile to make comebacks at his detractors.

It's extremely unlikely Durant appears for the Nets during the 2019-20 season. Durant was sent to Brooklyn in a sign-and-trade, sending recently acquired Minnesota Timberwolves guard D'Angelo Russell, an All-Star replacement with the Nets in 2018-19, to the Warriors last summer. Durant is signed to a four-year deal, alongside former Team USA teammate Kyrie Irving, but the All-Star duo will probably have to wait until next fall to step on the court together for competitive and meaningful minutes in Nets uniforms.
