Brooklyn Nets small forward Kevin Durant says Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is better than Houston Rockets guard Russell Westbrook.

Durant has played with both Curry and Westbrook. The new Nets superstar says Curry is a better player than Westbrook because he's the greatest shooter of all time.

“Who is a better player: Stephen Curry or Russell Westbrook?,” Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka asked Durant on his cooking show.

“Stephen Curry,” Durant said.

When asked why he felt that way, Durant responded, “Cuz he can shoot better.”

Curry has career averages of 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists with the Warriors while shooting 47.7 percent from the field, 43.6 percent from beyond the arc and 90.5 percent from the free-throw line. He's a two-time MVP and three-time champion.

Westbrook, who has averaged a triple-double three years in a row, has career numbers of 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.4 assists. The eight-time All-Star and former MVP is entering his first season with the Rockets.

This isn't that much of a hot take from Durant. While Westbrook is one of the best basketball players in NBA history, Curry's shooting is what separates him from Russ.

Durant likely won't take the floor this season for the Nets, as he is still recovering from his Achilles tear.
