Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant made sure the effort of Blake Griffin would not be wasted in what could be said as the top entry for the 2020-21 play of the year.

In the closing seconds of the half, Mike James was able to disrupt an errant pass from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Griffin surprisingly caught the ball and quickly threw an acrobatic behind-the-back, no-look pass for the fast break that Kyrie Irving caught. The All-Star guard then passed it to the streaking James, who set up a nicely timed alley-oop for Kevin Durant to finish the awesome play.

Here's a look at the full sequence that is just too fun to watch–so much so that even the referee can't help but smile from the ensuing Nets celebration.

Now that's how you complete a play!

While it is a wide-open sequence against a Cavs team not really known for their defense, credit should still be given. After all, who would expect Blake Griffin to throw such kind of pass? probably realizing there isn't much time left and the Cleveland offense scrambling to get back to defense, the former Detroit Pistons forward certainly made the best decision.

Kevin Durant also did it justice by finishing the play with a two-handed jam to get everyone on the Nets bench up on their feet.

It looks like the Nets are clicking right on time before the playoffs start, which is good news for Brooklyn and bad news for the rest of the NBA hoping to win that title.
