Kevin Durant's affinity for marijuana is a poorly kept secret. The fact that the Brooklyn Nets superstar previously signed a partnership deal with Weedmaps, a tech company that serves the cannabis industry, all but confirms how KD enjoys getting high on the ganja from time to time.

If you need further proof, then you need not look any further. In a recent interview for David Letterman's Netflix show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, the Nets star freely admitted to occasionally smoking weed. According to the 12-time All-Star, it's just something that helps him relax:

“To me, it clears the distractions out of your brain a little bit,” KD said. “Settles you down. It's like having a glass of wine.”

When Letterman asked Durant if he had gone for a smoke that day, the Nets stud hilariously confessed to actually being high at that exact moment:

“I'm actually high right now,” Durant admitted.

Letterman could not help but laugh at KD's admission, which resulted in a telling smile from the Nets superstar. That's just your typical Kevin Durant right there — never afraid to speak his mind, especially if it's about something that he firmly believes in.

I'm not sure if this will get the Nets star in any trouble with the league. After all, the NBA is no longer testing players for marijuana at this point.
