Kevin Durant should buy James Harden a nice cold beer after the Brooklyn Nets beat the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night.

Harden, who's been struggling with the new rules, messed around and got a triple-double to lead the Nets to their fourth victory. The Bear finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists to make up for the premature exit of Durant who was thrown out of the game in the third quarter.

Durant got tangled with Pistons forward Kelly Olynyk who was setting a screen. KD got extra physical, earning him a flagrant foul 2 and an instant ejection. But a more chill Durant admitted his fault after the game (via ESPN).

“I tried to run through the screen. That was the result of me trying to blow the screen up.”

As he implied, no reason to blow up the incident with Olynyk. Despite only playing 27 minutes, Durant still ended up with a game-high 23 points, missing just three of his 13 attempts. The Nets also held the Pistons starters to just 37 points.

Durant, however, has been a little short-tempered lately. In the Nets' win over the Indiana Pacers last Friday, he was whistled for a technical foul for throwing the ball into the stands. It's still unclear if he was trying to hit Kyrie Irving. This just in: He wasn't.

With James Harden getting his groove and Kevin Durant making buckets, the Nets are expected to go on a winning streak anytime soon. They will next face the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday.
