The Brooklyn Nets seem to be signing everyone lately, as Blake Griffin recently joined the team not too long ago. Now, after the San Antonio Spurs bought out LaMarcus Aldridge's contract, the star power forward has also signed with the Nets.

The Nets have struck NBA gold after Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving both decided to sign a deal in Brooklyn. At the beginning of the season, the Nets were able to conduct a trade for James Harden, and the organization has been growing its roster ever since.

NBA fans everywhere have griped about the Nets gaining so much star power, but not without Kevin Durant defending his new team. Durant is known for responding to fans and it seems he's having some fun at their expense on Sunday.

He continues to have fun exchanges with people on Twitter, making it known he does not care about the criticism. He's out to win a ring, potentially multiple while playing for the Brooklyn Nets.

The NBA is much more different than it was in the past. Back in the 1980s and 1990s, it was normal for players to remain on one team throughout their entire careers. However, that was well before free agency became a thing in the NBA. Without a free agent market, the players were not free to go play where ever they chose.

Additionally, this has become the new normal. We've witnessed LeBron James team up with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, where they won championships for the Miami Heat. The Golden State Warriors did it with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Kevin Durant, before he jumped ship for Brooklyn.

The NBA has shifted into a race on which franchise can attract multiple superstars, with the Nets seemingly ahead of the rest. Maybe it changes in the future, but for now, we'll have to sit back and watch Kevin Durant respond to fans through Twitter.
