Brooklyn Nets fans may not be able to blink during the upcoming season since head coach Steve Nash sees the Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving-led offense playing like the “seven seconds or lessPhoenix Suns teams from back in the day.

Nash, who was the point guard of that famed Suns squad, said the Nets are going to play very fast on offense in 2020-21.

“We want to play an uptempo style. We want to push the ball in transition and play in the open court, and in the half-court we want to make quick decisions, space the floor, take advantage of our playmaking and shooting,” new Nets head coach Steve Nash told reporters (per CLNS Media). “We have some centers that are vertical threats, so we can really put pressure on people above the rim, but also stretch them and make the court big and difficult to cover.

“I definitely think there’ll be similarities (to the seven seconds or less Suns). But I also think clearly the way we played in Phoenix is very common in today’s game.”

Nets fans are anxious to see how Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are going to look together as teammates. Brooklyn will undoubtedly compete for a title with the two All-Stars leading the way. Durant is one of the best scorers in NBA history and Irving is a magician with the basketball.

Of course, health will be a big question mark for the two Nets stars since Durant is coming off an Achilles tear and Irving has been prone to injuries his entire NBA career.

However, if KD and Kyrie can remain healthy during the regular season and be close to 100 percent by the time the playoffs roll around, no one is going to want to face the Nets in a seven-game series.
