It's so far, so good for season one of the Kevin Durant & Kyrie Irving Show. The two superstars are off to a historically hot start in their first two games together with the Brooklyn Nets.

They teamed up to earn an easy Christmas Day victory over the Boston Celtics, 123-95, with the high-scoring, sage-burning Irving torching his former team with 37 points, including 7-of-10 from long range. He also spiked his memorable night with six rebounds and eight assists.

According to ESPN Statistics and Information, Irving is the first player with at least 35 points on 60 percent shooting on a Christmas Day game since, quite incidentally, Durant. He is also only the fifth players to accomplish the feat in the last 25 years.

Furthermore, his 37 points set a new Nets Christmas Day record, surpassing Micheal Ray Richardson's 36 markers in 1984.
Durant also accomplished a nice little feat with the Nets. After his 51-point total in their first two outings, according to Elias Sports, he became one of just four players with 50-plus points in his first two games with the team, joining Irving (76), John Williamson (54), and Tiny Archibald (52).
The Nets are indeed rolling so far in the new NBA season with the seemingly built-in chemistry between Irving and Durant. While some experts have scoffed at their partnership, knowing they both have high usage rates, the two alpha dogs have repeatedly said that they love playing with each other.
The All-Star bromance is also working well for Nets coach Steve Nash, helping him ease into his new role quite conveniently.
Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant look to continue their strong momentum in their next game on the road against the Charlotte Hornets.
