Injured star Kevin Durant comes into the defense of his Brooklyn Nets teammate Kyrie Irving, who went on an epic rant on Instagram after getting booed at by Boston Celtics fans at TD Garden.

Irving took it to his IG stories to criticize the fans who put more importance on the game than the actual people. He highlighted that after what happened in the Nets-Celtics game — during which the home crowd chanted “Kyrie sucks” even though Irving was not there — it was clear that people care more about the drama than the love of the game.

Sure enough, his lengthy post did not sit well with all. A Celtics fan, in fact, tweeted a screenshot of his rant and called Kyrie “big mad”

Fortunately for Irving, Durant was on Twitter to rescue and defend him. KD blasted the said Celtics supporter and told him to “seek help.”

Kyrie had an ugly separation with the Celtics after their poor 2018-19 season run. The season was marred with controversies for the talented Boston team that severely underperformed, with Irving taking the brunt of the blame for his supposed lack of leadership.

The All-Star point guard has decided to move on from the Beantown team and opted to re-sign with his hometown team together with Durant and DeAndre Jordan, his close pals.

Sure enough though, Celtics fans are not yet ready to forget what Kyrie did.
