Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant, formerly of the Golden State Warriors, recently went on New Orleans Pelicans guard JJ Redick's podcast.

During the episode, Redick asked Durant if he took the easy way out to win titles by signing with the Warriors, who won an NBA record 73 games the season before Durant joined them.

As expected, Durant fired back at the notion that he took the easy route, claiming he earned his rings by playing really well once the Warriors got to the Finals.

Kevin Durant won two titles and two Finals MVPs with the Warriors. The future Hall of Famer will likely never escape the criticism of joining the Dubs since he signed with the team that defeated him in the 2016 Western Conference Finals.

To recall, Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder had a 3-1 series lead over the Warriors in the 2016 WCF before blowing the series.

With the Nets, Durant is looking to win his third championship. He missed the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear. The good news is that Durant is 100 percent now and ready to get the 2020-21 campaign going.

With Durant and Kyrie Irving leading the way on offense, the Nets should be title contenders next season. Brooklyn just hired two-time MVP, Steve Nash, as its new head coach.

Nash, of course, has a close relationship with Durant.
