Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has never been one to shy away from the use of social media. He's been known to answer fans, call out reporters and engage in everyday conversation. On Friday, he posted a tweet with an interesting admission regarding footwear.

In responding to a fan's question whether he wears another player's signature shoe for fun or research, Durant was very candid. “Yessir.. Kobe's, Jordan's, kai's… bron doesn't make 18s but wanna try his and Giannis kicks… ain't nothin like them god like kds tho,” Durant posted to Twitter.

It's been said that Magic Johnson and Larry Bird's rivalry saved the NBA in the 1980's. But the shoe craze did not become a phenomenon until Michael Jordan nearly a decade later. Jordan was the player that took marketability to the next level with numerous commercials and advertisements with his shoe line.

Kevin Durant, LeBron James, and every other NBA superstar with a line of shoes that is making them money hand over fist owe a thank you to His Airness.

Durant has taken a lot of flack lately after news surfaced that he requested a trade from the Nets. He has been criticized for just ring chasing and abandoning the Nets and Kyrie Irving. It's nice to see that Durant is able to have a simple discourse with a fan online.

The NBA free agency has hit a bit of a stall as teams and general manager's are waiting to see how the Durant situation plays out. It's been reported Brooklyn is asking for a king's ransom in a trade, but the market simply has not been there.
