Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is used to being one of the premier players that others want to mold their own game after. When you're at the top of your sport, that's often the case.

Durant himself enjoys watching any type of basketball and it's been more noted recently how much he enjoys the WNBA. The Nets' star has been seen numerous times at WNBA contests and via Insider.com, KD sees himself in one of the stars of the sport.

“I enjoy watching the WNBA,” Durant told Insider. “I pretty much follow all the girls and try to keep up with the box scores and see how they are doing each night and watch as much as I can.

Though he admits he's a “huge fan of… so many” WNBA stars, he cited 6-foot-6 do-it-all forward Jonquel Jones as someone whose game reminds him of his own.

“Jonquel Jones is the one that comes off top of mind,” Durant said. “She reminds me of myself with her length and how she shoots the ball. I'm a huge fan of her.”

Like Durant is for the Nets, Jones is a massive part of the engine for the Connecticut Sun. Jones has been a walking double-double this year, averaging 21.0 points per game (second in the league) and 11.1 rebounds per contest (first in the WNBA).

The Brooklyn Nets lead star believes it's just a matter of time before the WNBA becomes more popular.

“Once people build up the love for the game, they'll understand a little bit more…So, just watch more, try to take in a game more, and have an open mind when you're watching the game.”
