Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has made headlines on Friday night, but not for good reasons, as he was in and out of the game due to health and safety protocols. Durant didn't appear happy about it and took to Twitter after being removed from the game officially.

Durant was not allowed to start the game just minutes before tipoff due to contact tracing. Then a little while later they cleared Durant to play.

He returned to the Nets bench, playing 18 minutes and scoring eight points before being ruled out again, this time officially for the remainder of the game in a whacky sequence of events.

Durant was sitting in a chair when a Nets staffer came to him and he mouthed something towards him, but it's unclear what he said. The Nets are as confused as anybody with how this situation unfolded and got so complicated, and the NBA has questions to answer after a disastrous turn of events in Friday's game against the Toronto Raptors.

If Durant is forced to miss some time due to a positive test or a quarantine, then the Nets shouldn't have too much of an issue thanks to James Harden and Kyrie Irving, although losing the second-highest scorer in the NBA is never something you want to see.

Durant said the two words everybody has been asking since COVID-19 started, and this latest instance brings a bunch of questions for Commissioner Adam Silver and the NBA.
