Kyrie Irving isn't one to take any slander sitting down. The Brooklyn Nets guard showed exactly that on Wednesday night during their Subway Series matchup against the New York Knicks.

With the Nets down 67-50 at halftime, Kyrie Irving and Co. clearly weren't in the best of spirits walking back to the locker room. That's when a certain heckler caught Irving's attention. The All-Star had to walk back and confront the fan, who may or may not have been the one who shouted something at him in the first place.

Whatever that fan said may have been enough to fire up Kyrie Irving and the Nets after the break. After trailing by as much as 21 points, Brooklyn came storming back for a 110-98 win thanks to a 38-16 fourth quarter edge.

Kyrie may not have had the most efficient game, but he was clearly locked in for a win. He finished with 24 points on a subpar 9-for-26 shooting clip. Both Irving and Kevin Durant played the entire second half as the two superstars willed their team to a victory.

Irving, a native of New Jersey, was all smiles after the win.

“Heck yeah, man. Tired but it was worth it,” said Irving after the game.

Let this be a word of caution for Knicks fans. Don't poke the bear, even with a 17-point halftime lead.
