NBA insider Shams Charania has just dropped a bombshell on Kyrie Irving's saga with the Brooklyn Nets. According to Shams, it's only a matter of time before the seven-time All-Star works his way towards a Brooklyn exit.

Shams' sources tell him that Kyrie has made up his mind, and that he is now facilitating a trade away from the Nets:

“There's an expectation that Kyrie Irving will now proceed shortly into finding a new home via an opt-in and trade potential situation, and there are several teams that he will likely consider,” Shams said.

Shams is basically saying here that Kyrie's a goner for the Nets. It's also important to note that Irving supposedly intends to opt into the $36.5 million deal he has with Brooklyn for next season before he is traded to a new team. This decision will thereby limit his options in terms of his next destination, with teams such as the Los Angeles Lakers likely unable to make enough cap room for Irving.

Shams did also state in his report that for his part, Kevin Durant is also mulling his future with the Nets. A conflicting report from Woj, however, says that KD will not demand a trade from Brooklyn even if Kyrie exits.
