Quite unexpectedly, Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving has slowly become one of the most polarizing figures in NBA history. It's really difficult to pinpoint when his off-kilter views began. It's not as if he simply woke up and just suddenly decided that the Earth is flat and getting the COVID-19 vaccine is bogus.

The Nets have brought the hammer down on Irving, not allowing him to join the team until he can fully participate. While many are piling up on the ankle-breaking guard, he got unexpected support from an opposing player.

Chicago Bulls forward Troy Brown Jr. reposted on Twitter some of the positive things Irving has done to society,  saying people aren't talking about them enough.

It's true that Irving has been very charitable throughout his NBA career. Sadly, the good things he's done are being overshadowed by his eccentric views. It seems even Nets officials have grown tired of giving leeway to Irving, while the rest of his teammates have made difficult sacrifices.

After an injury-riddled stint last season, Nets fans are hopeful that the All-Star troika of Irving, Kevin Durant and James Harden could finally play a full campaign together. But alas, that would have to wait. Nets fans need to be injected (pun intended) with a different kind of optimism with Irving's latest controversy.

With the Nets facing problems with Kyrie Irving, the Bulls will have better chances of winning in the Eastern Conference. But obviously, Troy Brown Jr. isn't too focused on that right now.
