The Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks are headed for an epic Game 7 on Saturday night and the Nets have received some unfortunate news regarding star point guard Kyrie Irving, according to Malika Andrews of ESPN.

Well, the Nets do have James Harden and Kevin Durant, but everybody was holding out hope for Irving to make a return and be on the court for Game 7. Unfortunately, he is nowhere near close to making a return. His status for future games is also seriously in doubt if Brooklyn can find a way to win on Saturday.

Harden has not been himself since returning after injury, and the  Nets were actually in prime position to finish the series in six games before Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton went off to even the series and send it back to Brooklyn for a winner-take-all Game 7.

Steve Nash did say Harden will play as expected. Despite the optimism around Irving, though, it was never a distinct possibility of him being able to suit up in the series.

If the Nets beat the Bucks on Saturday and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, Irving's status will definitely be something to monitor. The epic Game 7 clash is Saturday night in Brooklyn. Get ready.
