The Brooklyn Nets have two of the most proven clutch scorers in the history of the game in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. That's why fans were left baffled when Bruce Brown was the man with the ball in his hands during the dying embers of Game 3 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Nets lost a game that easily could have swung in their favor had they had the proper late-game execution. Instead, it was Bruce Brown who got two offensive possessions to himself in the last 30 seconds.

Although the result wasn't exactly what the Nets had hoped for, Kyrie Irving was vocal on Bruce Brown getting those final cracks to win the game for them. The seven-time All-Star had zero qualms about the outcome.

Via Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype:

“Usually, Bruce puts us in a great position to at least have something at the rim that goes in, but tonight it just didn’t go for us. It’s not on him. It’s not on any one person. Just got to execute,” said the Nets All-Star.

Irving spoke out not only about the Bucks making the right plays down the stretch, but also how the Nets can take this lesson to come back stronger in Game 4.

The Nets are up on the Bucks, two games to one. While they could have virtually closed the series with a win in Game 3, they're still firmly in the driver's seat heading into Game 4.
