Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving will see a shoulder specialist this week, according to Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson.

Irving will be seeing a different shoulder specialist than the one he saw in Phoenix earlier in the season.

Irving is in his first season with the Nets. Uncle Drew has appeared in 20 games this season and is averaging 27.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists while shooting 47.8 percent from the field, 39.4 percent from beyond the arc and 92.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Irving is currently out with a knee injury. Now, it’s unknown when he’ll return to the Nets’ lineup now that his shoulder injury is back.

The Nets are 25-28 on the season. They are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings. If Irving has to miss the rest of the season, Brooklyn might miss the playoffs.
