Kyrie Irving had the perfect response to LeBron James missing a technical free throw in the opening quarter of the Brooklyn Nets vs. Los Angeles Lakers game on Thursday. Irving, who was upgraded to available just before tip-off, dished out some classic trash talk against his buddy who stepped up to the charity stripe for a free throw.

“That's your best free throw shooter?” Irving asked after James missed.

Kyrie didn't have to do his former teammate dirty like that.

James hasn't been the best free-throw shooter in his storied career in the NBA. Obviously, Irving knows this for a fact being teammates with James for three full seasons in Cleveland where they won an NBA championship together. This latest burst adds to the ton of shade Irving has thrown at James over the past few years.

In fairness to ‘The King', James is a career 73.4% shooter from the line, which isn't so bad. But, for someone who wants to be in the GOAT conversation, that's not great either. He even completely missed the rim in one of his free throws earlier this season. The four-time MVP though is at least shooting at his best free throw percentage as a Laker this season at 71.1%.

For what it's worth, MJ and Kobe were both shooting at 83% from the line in their respective careers. But of course, if LeBron wins a few more rings, all will be forgiven.
