The Brooklyn Nets have upgraded point guard Kyrie Irving from questionable to probable to face the Denver Nuggets on Thursday.

Irving is dealing with right shoulder impingement, but it looks like the Nets star will face the Nuggets:

The Nets are 4-6 on the season. They are currently on a two-game losing streak.

Irving is averaging 29.7 points, 5.3 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game on the season. The six-time All-Star is shooting 44.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 93.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Nets are putting up 119.2 points per game, which is good for second in the NBA. However, Brooklyn is struggling on defense. The Nets are giving up 121.4 points a night. That's 29th in the league.

Brooklyn got some bad news on Thursday. Small forward Caris LeVert will be out four to six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair ligaments in his right thumb. This means Irving is going to have to shoulder even more of the offensive load for the Nets moving forward.

The Nuggets are 7-3 on the season. It's never easy to win a game in Denver because of the altitude. Let's see if Brooklyn can pull off the upset in The Mile-High City. Having Irving in the lineup will surely help.
