Cleveland Cavaliers big man Larry Nance Jr. has come to the defense of one of the greatest players to ever suit up for the Cavs in Kyrie Irving. Even though Nance Jr. and the Brooklyn Nets point guard never crossed paths in Cleveland, both belong to the NBA brotherhood where togetherness and equality are always at the forefront.

With Kyrie Irving encountering some personal issues that have kept him away from the team in recent weeks, Nance Jr. has since made a point to mention all the good that the Nets star has done and continues to do in the community.

Nance Jr. originally broke into the league as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers before ultimately being traded to the Cavs midway through the 2017-18 campaign. That same season was Irving's first away from Cleveland since the veteran point guard began his NBA career as a member of the Cavs, before briefly joining the Boston Celtics and eventually the aforementioned Nets.

Although Kyrie Irving joined the Nets in 2019, an injury-plagued season caused him to miss the majority of the year. With a fellow superstar in Kevin Durant encountering a similar fate for Brooklyn, the Nets have since acquired former Houston Rockets star and 2018 MVP James Harden to really put the icing on the cake.

Once Irving returns to the fold in Brooklyn, the Nets will surely become the favorites to emerge out of the Eastern Conference.
