The NBA 2K22 ratings of a handful of the top players from around the league have been released and at this point, it's safe to say that it has taken more than a few folks by surprise. LeBron James himself doesn't seem to be too pleased with how the ratings have been handed out as he took exception with Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant's 96 rating.

LeBron took to Twitter to express his disagreement with KD's sub-par rating:

To be fair, 96 was the highest rating any player achieved for this edition of the game. LeBron himself received a 96 overall rating along with reigning Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry. That's it. That's the entire four-man list.

For what it's worth, LeBron James had a hilariously similar reaction to Steph's 96 rating. Did he literally just copy and paste his response? Perhaps Giannis is next on LeBron's list?

It is worth noting, however, that Kevin Durant himself believes that he should have gotten a 99 rating. This just wasn't going to be the case this year, with the game franchise carrying on with its infamous tradition of being extremely stringent with their player ratings. The last time an active player was given a 99 was back in 2K14.

What we can take away from LeBron's tweet here is that he clearly considers Durant to be one of the top players in the game today. KD had a tremendous showing last season, and he will look to carry his form over to what should be a very interesting 2021-22 campaign.
