The Brooklyn Nets have been listed as a potential landing spot for Blake Griffin following his buyout from the Detroit Pistons. While discussing multiple topics during his media session on Sunday, James Harden made an eye-opening comment about Griffin, via Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News.

With the trade deadline nearing, the Pistons were sitting Griffin until they were able to figure out whether or not they could trade him. After no teams expressed interest in acquiring his contract, Detroit bought him out, allowing the veteran forward to sign wherever he pleases for the rest of the season.

In response to the Pistons buying him out, there are a handful of teams interested in adding Griffin. Among the teams that would make sense for Griffin, Brooklyn appears to be the front-runner for his services.

While Griffin isn't nearly the same player he once was, where he was catching lobs with ease, he can still contribute to a team as a role player. Before he was benched by the Pistons earlier this season, Griffin was accounting for 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists per game.
